I guess it won’t be the end of the world if I don’t update then. I will wait when Microsoft actually updates the operating system for desktops/laptops. Don’t they know—tablets won’t ever take over the role of a personal computer desktop. If that were true, laptops would have made desktops obsolete by now—same thing with the current phones in the market. We already had kindles and other e-book type readers before Apple decided to make the Ipad.
With that said, I guess I’ll play around with more Linux distro’s and hope the for the best in terms of updates/upgrades for desktop-aimed operating system rather than tablets. I might get a tablet down the road, but I really don’t see the necessity in one just yet—in my life of course. I am way too much into being a prosumer rather than simply being a consumer.
